The Manifesto
More Than a Pet. A Masterpiece.
At Canvas & Collar, we believe the love we share with our companions is one of life’s greatest masterpieces. It shouldn’t just live on a smartphone screen—it deserves a place on your gallery wall.

The “Why”
Beyond the Digital Filter
We watched the world of pet portraits turn into an industry of “clicks” and “filters.” But memories aren’t made of pixels—they are made of soul. Canvas & Collar was born from a desire to bring back the “slow art” movement to pet parenthood. We traded algorithms for paintbrushes and printers for artisan hands.
The Craftsmanship
Hand-Taught, Hand-Painted, Hand-Felted
We don’t do mass production. Every commission at Canvas & Collar is assigned to a specialized artist who spends days—sometimes weeks—meticulously crafting your piece. Whether it’s the rich texture of an Oil Painting, the delicate precision of Colored Pencils, or the tactile warmth of Needle-Felted wool, we use only museum-grade materials designed to last for generations.

Our Commitment
An Heirloom Experience
Choosing us means commissioning an heirloom. We are committed to a collaborative process where you are part of the studio journey. From the initial photo review to the final brushstroke approval, we ensure that the “spark” that makes your pet unique is captured perfectly.
We understand that your pet’s likeness is in the details. Before we ship your physical masterpiece, we will send you a high-resolution digital preview. Our “Happiness Guarantee” means you can request adjustments during the studio phase. We won’t ship it until you are completely in love with the result.
Unlike mass-produced digital prints, Canvas & Collar creates real art. Hand-painted oils and needle-felting require time for layering, precision, and drying. Quality cannot be rushed. Usually, the creation process takes 2-4 weeks, ensuring your tribute is crafted with the patience it deserves.
Our artists are skilled at interpreting details, but for the best results, a clear, high-resolution photo in natural light is ideal. If you are unsure, upload your photo during checkout or email us, and our lead artist will provide a complimentary consultation on whether it’s suitable for a commission.
Absolutely. We use gallery-grade packaging standards. Oil paintings are secured in shock-absorbent materials, and felted sculptures are nestled in protective custom boxes. Every shipment is fully insured, so in the rare event of damage during transit, we will prioritize a replacement or repair at no cost to you.
Yes. Every artisan commission includes an ultra-high-definition digital scan (300+ DPI). This allows you to keep a permanent digital heirloom, use it as a screensaver, or share the creation of your masterpiece on social media.
The Closing Invitation
